Set Up Another Device now Mobile QR Only in the Desktop Client?
Now when I go into the client to find the 1Password secret key to either copy it or send it to another device, all I'm presented with is the scan the QR Code option.
Am I overlooking the Send Link that used to exist? It would be a big step backwards if I had to resort to web page login to get my secret key. We've been advocating in our 1Password for Business instance that installing the App was the best way to manage your secret key.

Hello @Duke_JayG! 👋
I'm sorry for the delayed reply and I see that one of my colleagues was already able to help you via email. 🙂
For anyone else who stumbles onto this thread in the future, the team has recently introduced a new sign-in experience to make it easier to sign in to 1Password from a new device: New Sign-In Experience (Beta) — 1Password Community
The team is looking into including other options, including functionality similar to the old sign-in link, but I don't have an ETA on when this will be released. Keep 1Password updated so that you get the latest changes as soon as possible.
For the time being you can find the Secret Key in the 1Password app by following these steps:
- Open and unlock 1Password for Mac.
- Click on the account picker in the top left corner and choose Manage Accounts from the menu.
- Click on your account, then choose Your Details to view the Secret Key.
Thanks again for the feedback and for helping us test new features with the beta version of 1Password!
-Dave
