1PW won't fill in passwords in PNC Bank mobile app

Somewhere a couple of months ago the 1PW mobile app stopped filling in the passwords in the PNC Bank mobile app ver 4.50. It all works fine in the desktop versions. I can copy & paste them but that's not the point. I have an iPhone Xs running IOS 17.6.1. I can't find info on my 1PW version.

Usually in banking apps you can go in the apps on settings and enable it to remember your username name and password sign in.
After that use Face I. D. unless you’re sign out, then you have to start the process over.
You still might have to copy and paste until you do that. So if the app used too then go back to the app settings and re-enable.
If their is no option to enable remember for sign in then play attention after signing out for the remember prompt.

I checked the autofill setup and had both iCloud keychain and 1PW selected. I turned off iCloud keychain, restarted the phone and both the PNC app and the Amex app seem to be working fine.

    Thanks for your help.

This is the same problem I'm having with the PNC Bank mobile app. 1PW gives me the chance to select which credentials I want to use and it enters the username OK but it won't enter the password. Sometimes after multiple attempts it will work correctly but mostly I end up opening 1PW & copying & pasting the password. Everything works fine in the desktop app.

  • Hello bzuthrmac! πŸ‘‹

I'm sorry that you're having trouble filling your passwords into PNC Bank's app. AutoFill is specifically handled by iOS so we are unable to control which fields get filled when you tap on an item since 1Password only provides the data for the experience.

That being said, I downloaded the "PNC Mobile Banking" app and I'm able to fill my login credentials by following these steps:

    1. Make sure that AutoFill is setup correctly: Use 1Password to save logins and sign in to apps and websites on your iPhone and iPad
    2. Open the PNC Mobile Banking app.
    3. Tap on the "Enter password" field.
    4. Tap on the "Passwords" prompt above your keyboard and select your login to fill it.

Does that work? If it doesn't then can you post a screenshot of the screen where you're unable to fill your login? Make sure that the screenshot doesn't include any sensitive information.
