Touch ID not working anymore on MacBook Air
I have been using 1Password for years now, on MacBook Air, iPhone and iPad. I was always able to unlock 1Password with Touch ID. Since a couple of months now, 1Password asks for my password on Safari and Brave. It keeps working fine on iPad and iPhone.

Hello @petitbateau54! 👋
I'm sorry that you’re unable to turn on Touch ID for 1Password on your Mac. Have you turned on Touch ID for your Mac and are you able to use Touch ID to unlock the Mac itself? If you are then I'd like you to please do the following:
- Completely turn off your Mac and then turn it on to restart it. (Don't skip this step.)
- Open and unlock 1Password for Mac.
- Choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Touch ID & Password.
- Turn off all of the features, then turn all of them back on again.
- Go back to 1Password and choose 1Password > Settings from the menu bar.
- Click the Security icon, then turn on "Touch ID".
- Lock 1Password by choosing 1Password > Lock from the menu bar.
- Now try unlocking 1Password using Touch ID.
Please let me know if you run into any issues or get stuck anywhere.

Hi Dave. I did all your steps except #7 (Lock 1Password by choosing 1Password > Lock from the menu bar.) I don't quite understand.

I'm sorry that the steps weren't clear. You can lock 1Password by right-clicking on the menu bar icon and choosing Lock:
Then try to unlock 1Password using Touch ID. If that doesn't work then let me know.
