Feature Request: Use Existing 1Password Entry For The Site To Create Site Account
It seems 1Password is only written to "Use Suggested Passwords" when creating a new account.
When I am registering/creating a new account on a website, my modus operandi is to create the 1Password entry a priori. I do this because I want to make sure I capture all of the details about the login myself. I add notes, I shorten the URL of the website, I cycle through several different generated passwords, etc. I prefer to work this way because it gives me confidence the information is saved and ready to use before creating the account. (NOTE: I have described this 'flow' in a related community post here: https://1password.community/discussion/148706/how-to-suppress-use-suggested-password-dropdown)
In my previous post, I indicated I was too lazy to create a separate topic to address a related issue ... well, I guess I found the time to create this post (mostly because I have seen this behavior about 2-3 times since my previous post and would really like the behavior to change).
Here is my example (same example from previous post):
I want to register as a new user to huggingface.co , so I create a 1Password entry a priori with the credentials I want to use (as I mentioned above).
Next, I go through the steps to register as a new user and I get to the point where it wants me to enter a password as shown here:
The only thing the 1Password extension shows me is a 'Use Suggested Password' dropdown entry ... even though I have a password already saved for the website and is known by the extension as shown here:
May you please share this with the developers and see if there is a way for passwords being used for registering or creating new accounts can be shown in the dropdown box if they match the website?
NOTE: I don't have a screenshot of a 'change password' web form, but I believe the same applies (i.e. only the 'Use Suggested Password' is shown in the change password form field even though a 1Password entry exists).
Thank you.
