How to migrate from 1Password 6 to 8 on a new laptop

in 1Password 3 – 7 for Mac

I am running 1Password 6 on an older MacBook Pro. I am synching through iCloud. I have a new MacBook Pro running Sonoma 14.4 and have downloaded 1Password 8. How do I synch the new version. Is there an upgrade discount for v.8 of 1Password. thanks!
