Trouble signing into 1Password from browser when MBP is in clamshell mode

When my MBP16 is in clamshell mode, I have no access to the fingerprint scanner. When I want to use 1P in the browser I either click the icon in a password field or use the extension icon. Both lead me to a dance where a new window opens to enter my 1P password and the field and extension icon keep asking for the password even though I enter it correctly. When I do have access to the fingerprint scanner Safari behaviour is great. Can anyone help me solve this please? I use clamshell mode a lot. Thanks, Chris

  • Hello @mekondelta! 👋

I'm sorry that you're running into issues when unlocking 1Password for Mac in clamshell mode using your account password. Can you try the following:

    1. Open and unlock 1Password for Mac.
    2. Click on 1Password next to the  in the menu bar.
    3. Click Settings.
    4. Make sure that "Keep 1Password in the menu bar" is turned on.

Then put your Macbook into clamshell mode and try to reproduce the issue again. I look forward to hearing from you.
