Safari 1Password 7.9.11 Extension Locked and Frozen

1Password extension for Safari on macOS 15.1.1 no longer working. Safari version 18.1.1. The credentials input shows an unlock 1Password window though it is already unlocked.

I'm sorry that 1Password 7 isn't working correctly in Safari. 1Password 7 hasn't been supported for some time and hasn't been tested on macOS 15.1.1, I recommend that you upgrade to the latest supported version: Upgrade to 1Password 8

That being said, the following might help:

1. Close all open web browsers.
2. Right-click on the 1Password icon at the top of your Mac's screen and then click Quit 1Password Completel. Wait until the icon disappears.
3. Double-click on 1Password from your Mac's Applications folder.
4. Open your web browser.

If that doesn't fix the issue then upgrading would be the best option. if you see the same issue with 1Password 8 then let me know and I can help further.

That didn't help with the issue. Yes do understand the path to the 1Password8 is the only option but not ready to make the switch yet.

Finally made the switch to Apple Passwords App. Thank you 1Password for making it a memorable journey for last 10 years. Good luck with the subscription model.
