I upgraded to 1Password 8. Thanks for your help.

You're welcome. I'm glad to hear that reinstalling the 1Password extension in Chrome resolved the Start Here notifications.
With the launch of 1Password 8, 1Password 7 is no longer supported. I strongly encourage you to update to 1Password 8 everywhere: Upgrade to 1Password 8.
Let me know if you have any questions.

I removed and reinstalled the 1Password Chrome Extension. The new 1Password Mini window does not have the 'Start Here' with '4 Steps Left' box in the lower right hand corner. I don't know if that result was what you attended, but that's what I have and it seems to work alright, other than I still have 1Password7, but that seems to do everything I want to do if it has the same security as 1Password 8, if not I would appreciate an alert. Thanks for your help.

Those are the options for right-clicking the 1Password desktop app icon in the macOS menu bar at the top. Please right-click the 1Password extension icon in Chrome's toolbar beside the website address bar. Here's a screenshot for reference:
I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

When right-clicking the 1Password extension icon in Step 2, the only options I have are Preferences, Open 1Password and Quit 1Password Completely. There is no 'Remove from Chrome' option.

Thank you for your reply. If nothing happens after clicking the Next button from your screenshot, could you reinstall the 1Password browser extension? Here's how:
First, make sure you have a copy of your Emergency Kit or another device signed in to 1Password nearby and that you know your account password before you start:
- Open Chrome.
- Right-click the 1Password extension icon in Chrome's toolbar and select Remove from Chrome.
- Install a fresh copy of the 1Password extension from here -> 1Password Chrome Extension.
Let me know how that goes.

I believe I'm seeing it in the browser extension. I'm not sure as I have the 1Password 8 desktop app as I said earlier my version is 7.9.11.

I'm sorry that you're running into issues with the guided setup in 1Password. Are you seeing the guided setup in the 1Password 8 desktop app? Or the browser extension?
To help me better understand the situation I'd like to ask you to take a screenshot of what you're seeing and attach it to your reply:

I've been using 1Password on this device for several years, but I don't recall setting up an account. Nothing happens when I click on a step and I don't know how to add the browser extension as called for in the first step that shows up for me, are there instructions somewhere? 1Password seems to have been working on my device up until just recently when it doesn't suggest a password when I need one for new login credentials which it used to do. I suspect this may have something to do with the expiration of my complimentary subscription and transition to a paid subscription. I'm looking forward for you assistance as 1Password is convenient to have when it works.
