1Password is restricted for violating Mozilla policies. Why?
My 1Password icon was missing this morning, went to check my addons in Firefox and discovered it had been automatically disabled with the message: "1Password is restricted for violating Mozilla policies". I am able to "force" re-enable it "at my own risk", but I find this concerning. What is the problem and what is the fix?

What now?
Mozilla is blocking the use of the 1Password Firefox browser extension:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/blocked-addon/onepassword4@agilebits.com/4.7.5.90/Why did this happen?
This extension, theme, or plugin violates Mozilla's add-on policies.
This add-on violates Mozilla's add-on policies by not providing reviewable or reproducible source code.
What does this mean?Until the violation is resolved, this add-on won't be available for download from addons.mozilla.org. If it’s already installed, it will be disabled and users will be informed about the violation. They may choose to enable the add-on again at their own risk.
How does Mozilla enforce its policies? When Mozilla becomes aware of add-ons, plugins, or other third-party software that seriously compromise Firefox security, stability, or performance and meet certain criteria, the software may be blocked or restricted from general use. 4.7.5.90 is the former 1Password Classic extension. It's no longer supported and has not been updated since 2019-06-25. We recommend considering 1Password in the browser for your needs. Which is our current offering.
