Prompted to unlock using Touch ID twice in a row

I had this problem a while back, it apparently was fixed as I didn't notice it for weeks/months, and recently started happening again. One new bit of information:

I always assumed that it was an issue with both the browser extension and the app both prompting to unlock, however due to troubleshooting a web issue in recent weeks I realized today that my 1password extension is disabled and yet this is still happening.

The way I can recreate it:

1) Laptop is connected to an encrypted Time Machine drive (via a Thunderbolt 3 monitor hub, in case it matters). Put laptop to sleep.
2) Wake laptop and unlock macOS using Touch ID.
3) macOS pops up a window to unlock the encrypted drive so Time Machine can resume backups.
4) Use Cmd+\ to fill password, and Touch ID prompts to unlock 1password. Authenticate Touch ID.
5) The Touch ID prompt disappears and is immediately replaced with a second Touch ID prompt.
6) Authenticate once again, and this time Quick Access appears and has me select the appropriate password (more than one password is saved to the macOS drive password popup window). The password fills, the drive is unlocked, and Time Machine can proceed.

Running latest stable versions of Chrome and 1Password.

Somewhat predictably, I waited weeks with this issue annoying me before I made the effort to document and post about it, then I updated to 1Password for Mac 8.10.56 (81056028) yesterday and I can no longer recreate it. 🤦‍♂️

I'll be back in this thread (or linking to this thread if it's closed) if this bug reappears...
