classic 1p - is it finally not going to work with chrome in Sequioa?

in 1Password 3 – 7 for Mac

i have the old (no longer supported) version of 1p with a local vault that is in my dropbox. so I can't log into 1p website to get my browser extension working.

- Chrome Version 131.0.6778.109
- 1p v7 - .opvault
- I upgraded to a new machine with MacOS 15.1.1 
- In safari the 1p plugin works just fine
- In chrome the browser extension just wants me to log in but I can't log in since I am using the 'classic' 1p. it does say 'integration status "connected"'

anyone else have this issue? is it finally time to stop putting it off and switch to the new online-only 1p? if it's possible to put it off I would be happy to.

OS Version: macos 15.1.1

    The Classic extension is no longer supported. The last update to it was 2019-06-25. We would recommend using 1Password in the browser with a 1Password membership.
