When I’m resetting a password on a website and 1Password recognizes that I’m doing that it gives me a pop up asking whether I want to update an existing record or create a new one - but it doesn’t respond when I select the Update option. This has happened 2-3 times now, most recently tonight, and I had done a complete reset and reinstall of my iOS last week, so I know that everything is up to date.

1Password Version: 18.10.56
Extension Version: 18.10.56.28
OS Version: iOs 18.2
Browser: Safari

  • Hello @ourstanley! 👋

I'm sorry that you're running into problems when changing a password for a website. So that I can better understand the situation can you tell me the following:

    1. Are you able to still reproduce the issue?
    2. Does this happen on multiple websites? Or just one?
    3. Can you provide the website address of one of the affected websites?

It’s happened whenever I’ve changed a password from my phone since installing iOS 18 (it might even have been present when using the beta iOS). But because it only impacts once a month or 6 weeks or so I’ve not posted before. On this most recent occasion I was updating my password on www.starz.com. It’s certainly happened on multiple different websites, but I can’t honestly recall if I’ve been able to successfully save an updated password on any website via the pop-up.

Thank you for the description of the issue and for providing the address of the website that you encountered the issue on. Try the following steps:

    1. Fully close Safari on iOS.
    2. Fully close 1Password on iOS.
    3. Open and unlock the main 1Password app from your home screen.
    4. Open Safari and go to any webpage.
    5. Tap on the page settings icon in the address bar.
    6. Tap on 1Password in the menu.
    7. Follow the prompt to unlock 1Password for Safari.

Then try to save a login again. Do you see the same issue?
