Lock on browser close?
Does 1Password have the option to auto-lock when a browser is closed? I see time limits and lock when system locks, but can't find the option to auto-lock when I close a browser. I thought this option existed (though I may be remembering a LastPass option instead?)

Hello @RFisher200! 👋
Thanks for the question! If you have the 1Password for Windows desktop app installed then app integration will result in the desktop app and the browser extension sharing the same lock state according to your auto-lock settings in the desktop app: How to set 1Password to lock automatically
If you'd like to have 1Password in the browser lock when you close the browser then you can either uninstall the desktop app and just use the browser extension or you can turn off app integration so that the desktop app and the browser extension lock and unlock separately (the browser extension will lock when you close your browser):
- Open your browser.
- Right-click on the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar and click Settings.
- Turn off "Integrate this extension with the 1Password desktop app".
I hope that helps.

OK, that does what I want - 1Password in my Firefox browser does not lock until I close Firefox. But now, when in my browser, I want to edit a password, then the desktop app no longer opens - I get a webpage instead. I prefer using my desktop app for editing, etc.
So I guess a Feature Request would be that I have the option to lock 1Password when I close a browser, but not at the expense of no longer having the desktop app available without a separate click. (that is, integration is still intact).

I'm not sure how feasible such a feature would be. For example, what if a user has two different browsers open and then closes one but not the other? Should the 1Password desktop app lock or stay unlocked?
That being said, I'd be happy to pass along your suggestion to the team. Can you tell me more about why you'd like 1Password to lock when you close your browser? Why not lock your system using Windows key+L on your keyboard if you're choosing to step away rather than closing your browser?
