1Password not displaying in Menu Bar

I have 1Password 8.10.58, MacOS Sequoia 15.2, and a MacBook Pro Apple M3 Max.

BTW, the only app I have with the dock icon appearing in "the device accent color" is 1Password. Poking around today because I'm posting questions, I found the setting and turned it off (it's been bugging me for a year). I once asked a MacBook Pro about the color and he suggested the M3 Max chip. Since I ported my Mac Mini hard drive to my MacBook Pro and the Mac Mini does not have a blue icon, I don't understand.

PS: I unchecked the device color setting, removed the icon from the dock, and restarted my computer. The icon is still blue. I like the regular icon, dislike the blue icon. How do I fix icon color?

1Password Version: 8.10.58
Extension Version: NR
OS Version: MacOS Sequoia 15.2
Browser: NR

  • Hello @jmassengale! 👋

Thank you for reaching out, I can certainly help with this. To help me better understand the situation I'd like to ask you to take a screenshot of the icon that you're seeing and attach it to your reply:

I look forward to your reply.

I've attached an image of the dock icon

Thank you for the screenshot of 1Password's icon in your Dock. That icon means that you're using the beta version of 1Password for Mac, the production version has the following icon:

If you'd like to go back to using the production version, follow the steps in this guide: Use 1Password beta releases - To stop using the beta

Double-check that the menu bar icon is turned on:

    1. Open and unlock 1Password for Mac.
    2. Click on 1Password next to the  in the menu bar.
    3. Click Settings.
    4. Make sure that "Keep 1Password in the menu bar" is turned on.

If you still don't see 1Password's icon in the menu bar at the top of your Mac's screen then do you have a newer Macbook with a notch? Is it possible that you have so many icons that 1Password's icon has been pushed behind the notch?
