Thanks for nothing
So let me see if I have this right, because I purchased 1Password in 2011 and have been a loyal supporter ever since I now have to pay an additional $25 for version 4 saving a whole $10 on the full price meaning I pay $25 now plus the original $40 so in all I end up paying $65.
Thanks for nothing........................

Hi @firefly55,
The retail price of 1Password 4 is $50, it just happens to be on sale for 40$ at the Mac App Store but it'll jump up to $50. The upgrade price is 50% off.
You don't have to upgrade 1Password 4 right away as 1Password 3 should continue to work on Mavericks. However if you'd like to take advantages of all the new features in 1Password 4, you'll have to pay 25$ to upgrade to it. It's the same deal for almost everybody and we need to be able to survive as a business and provide customer service for all 1Password users. Unlimited free updates/upgrades are not sustainable and we have to be able to eat and feed our families just like everybody.

I received 1Password 2 for free from MacHeist back in 2009, upgraded to 1Password 3 in 2010, and readily bought my upgrade from your online store as soon as it was available. I also immediately jumped on 1Password 4 for iOS when you released it last winter. I get that you guys work hard on this software as well as taking care of your customers. Paying for your software is the best way to support you and make sure you keep doing great work. Thanks for being rockstars and sharing 1Password with the rest of us!

We sure appreciate your kind words and support, @gwardwell -- thanks! I've shared this with our team so they can enjoy a smile like me. :)

I love it when people say "I've been a loyal supporter ever since!" when what they mean is, "I've used what I paid for ever since and this entitles me to get all further development of the app entirely for free".
Heh.

Dear Agile Nijas and/or Jedi Code Masters,
I just couldn't sleep at night, thinking about all the hard work your team put into rewriting 1Password 4 from the ground up and although I've been a 1P evangelist and am directly responsible for all my friends & family now being Agile customers, I haven't paid for 1P since my version 2 purchase which qualified for a free version 3 upgrade. Despite getting a free MAS 1P version 4 for being in the beta program, I just couldn't live with myself and purchased my family license upgrade (from Agile store) of version 4 to relieve my guilt and support a product which I rely so heavily upon. Oh well, no cloud syncing for me; love Dropbox anyway.
What's this firefly guy wining about?

Hi Michael and Owen,
Thank you, that really helps us a lot.

@firefly55 I would gladly pay $65 for 1PW. Despite that, Agile offered free upgrades for those who purchased 1PW 3 within some ridiculously generous amount of time like 6-12 months. If that doesn't go to show you that they're trying to do right by their customers, I'm not sure what does.
