Password Generator question
I often use the 1Password password generator. In 1Password 3 you could generate a password and then if you didn't like the password for some reason you could hit a recycle button and the generator would toss that one and create a new one... Case in point, I like passwords that contain letters and numbers but I don't like it to begin with a number. So if the password generator happened to create one beginning with a number I would simply recycle and get another one. I've tried to find a way, either from 1Password Mini or from the main app, to do this recyclling of passwords until I find one I like and so far have not been successful. I did find that in Mini if bring up a generated password and click "Copy", that window goes away and if I access it again, I now find a new generated password. But first of all, that is a clumsy way of cycling through passwords until I find one I like. Second and far worse, I find that all those passwords I thought I was just copying to say the clipboard instead were all getting saved in my Password file.. I had to afterward and go in and delete this never used and never intended to be used passwords.
So is there a method in 1Password 4 to cycle through newly generated passwords until I find one that suits my needs like there was in 1Password 3??
thanks... bob..

I feel the same! It was really nice to just be able to hit the Gen button a couple of times until you had a password that you liked..

Hopefully someone from AgileBits will offer input soon. I've played with the generator and it appears you have to select one, click Copy, then go away from the generator, come back and then you will have a different one... But what a pain that is... Nothing like just hitting the old "Reload" button.

Hi guys,
We're hearing a lot of useful feedback (including yours) as to how our users want the generator to improve and we're making some plans to change some things.
For now, use the Length slider and move it sideway to generate a new password. That'll save a bit of time, so that you don't have to dismiss the window to generate a new one and to avoid saving passwords to the Passwords category by not pressing the Copy button until you find the one you want.

Good to know... Yes, I do see if I move the length slider, every movement creates a new password... That's better than my get one, leave, come back, get another... So that would work. I still like the old reload method because you don't have to change password lengths but at the same time, it's not like I make passwords every day, just once in a while... So no big deal. I do like, as I said above, to have some way of choosing passwords until I find one I like because, for instance, I don't like passwords that begin with numbers so I keep recycling those until I get one that starts with a letter... Just my preference... thanks for the help... bob...

You're welcome, Bob.
Yep, we do plan to figure out a way to insert that button in the generator, we're just fighting with the design of that menu, it doesn't let us properly resize the width. We'll get it done.

Thanks much... Love 1Password btw. One of my most used and most appreciated apps, both on the Mac and Mobile. bob

Thanks for fixing this by adding a generate button (bringing back yet another feature of 1Password 3 that went missing in 1Password 4).

Huh, what's this? This is a feature I'm interested in, where is this button you speak of? (In the mini browser I hope).

Hi @steve23094,
As Mike mentions above, we're currently looking for a way to make this generate button fit in the Mini. We know there are a lot of users excited to see this, so we'll get it done just as soon as possible. :)
