Purchase License for 1Password 3.8

Hello,
I'm using Mac OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard and want to use 1Password 3.8 on it. If I purchase a license for 1Password 4, will the code work for version 3.8? Or is there an other way to still get a license for older versions?

Thanks!

    Hi Silas,

I'd love to help you get set up with 1Password. Since we only offer purchases of 1Password 4 for Mac now, you will need to purchase a license for 1Password 4, but we can easily add a 1Password 3 license to your account after the fact. The bonus then is that when you do upgrade your computer (which is bound to happen eventually) you will have a shiny new 1Password 4 license to match.

Just head on over to https://agilebits.com/store to purchase your license. You can also download 1Password 3.8 here: https://agilebits.com/downloads if you're excited to get started.

Once you've made your purchase, send me a private message with the name and email address you used. I'll look you up in our back office records and add a 1Password 3 license for you. :)

Am also a 10.6.8 user trying to use v3.8 and I find your site's explanation for how to enter the license key lacking. Nothing I tried works, and nothing in the FAQ seems to cover it. Please help_

    Hi @dhurf,

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulty adding a license to 1Password 3. It should be a simple matter of clicking 1Password > License and pasting your information in. Please let me know where you are running into difficulties, I'd love to help!

    Megan-
Does not work. Have tried 1) dragging the license file into the Key field, 2) pasting (what seemed to be the relevant) part, then all, of the file name of the license, and 3) manually entering part, then all, of the file name, none of which is accepted. The rest of the app seems to work well, but can't do anything with it until the license problem is fixed. Suggestions?

    Hi @dhurf,

I'm so sorry for the confusion here! If you are seeing a license "file", then it sounds to me as if you have a license for 1Password 4. If you are interested in using 1Password 3 (as Silas was due to using an older operating system), please email your licensing information in to support@ agilebits .com with a note explaining your situation (or a link to this post) and we'll be happy to set you up with a version 3 license that will work correctly in 1Password 3.

If you would like to give 1Password 4 a try (and have OS X 10.8.5 or higher installed on your computer), please download the shiny new version here: https://agilebits.com/downloads. :)
