A feature request :-)
Hey there agilebits,
I've been using your app for a while and I love it a lot more than I expected to. I've noticed a few interaction tweaks that I think could be made that could make using it a little easier.
I try and use the keyboard for as much as possible, because the mouse triggers my RSI in a bad way. I've noticed that when I dismiss a 1password popup from the chrome extension, either by pressing ESC to cancel or the relevant commit button (save, etc), the user focus does not return to the chrome window. The user focus isn't an issue most often, but when I am trying to remember my password and I have to repeatedly dismiss the "Do you want 1password to remember this password?" box to reenter the text, it requires some mangling to bring focus back to the chrome window which triggered the action. I'm not entirely sure how much action the chrome API lets you have here, but it'd be handy.
Cheers, and thanks for a great app

Hi @robacarp,
Thanks for the feature request! It's always so great to hear from people who love 1Password as much as we do! While we can't directly discuss our future plans, I have noted down your request and we will look into it.

I have another feature request. I'm adding it to this thread instead of creating a new one to prevent clutter. I've just been going through the process of adding a login to a finance company that uses a 3-step login process and it is cumbersome at best. For situations like that it might be handy for a subset of your users to be able to write a sort of script that would guide 1password through filling in the form data automatically. If done right I can even imagine it being a really useful tool for the majority of your users.
Something like a flowchart workflow where a login is triggered on an exact url match, which then allows a second stage login to trigger, which then allows a third, etc. Much of the data required to make this interaction possible is already present in the vault through the use of form field naming, etc. An interface which allows a user to specify a CSS selector as a lookup for where a security question is on the page is probably a huge ask, but it'd provide a great way for dealing with random security questions that some institutions require.
Thanks again for making a great product. I should say that, through work, I've been required to use that Other Password Manager and it frustrates me to no end. 1Password is in an entirely different league!
Cheers

Hi @robacarp,
Thanks for doing your part to reduce clutter in the forums, and for your kind words! I'm sorry that it has taken us a bit longer than ideal to respond to your request - we've experienced a recent surge in support requests and we're doing our best to get caught up.
Currently, most multiple page Logins will require a bit of extra work by the user, although Bank of America's two page Login is a great example of how you can use one Login to log in on two separate pages.
We're certainly keen on helping 1Password behave more intuitively with complicated and multi-page Logins, I'll be sure to pass along your thoughts :)
