1P 4.1.1 Not Filling in Identity Phone Number in Forms on Safari

Just upgraded, and have for the past few days have been going to some contest pages where you can enter once a day to win. Before upgrading to 1P4, I would visit these sites and 1P3 did a great job of filling in my info - including phone number - for the quick "in & out"…since upgrading to 1P4, however, it NEVER fills in my telephone number on any of these sites. I don't remember the titles or layouts of the Identity fields in 1P3, but in 1P4 it has the fields "default phone" "home" "cell" and "business" with the proper numbers in there. Thinking maybe something had changed with these in the upgrade, I created a field called just "phone" but that didn't work either. Not a huge problem, but potentially a bug that I wanted to report in case I could get a fix. Thanks! (And while I'm here, I'd like to put in a vote for the ability to create more custom fields in Identities, such as Birthday, etc…)

Thanks so much for sending us that link. You're right, the telephone number doesn't seem to want to fill in properly there. I've passed the site address along to our form filling gurus to see if they can improve 1Password's behaviour in the future :)

I have the same problem — telephone numbers never filled in. I've tried to format them differently, but this has not worked either. I'm have a Mac Mini (mid 2011) running OS X 10.8.5 (12F45).

Any URLs you can provide for specific sites where phone number filling is failing would be helpful. Also, which version of 1P4 are you running and which web browser(s) have you tried? Thanks for any extra info. :)

Thanks for the new examples, @Macadamia. I've included those with your earlier one that @Megan reported to our forum filling gurus. Even though that earlier link has expired there are current ones at that site with the same issue.

For the record I find that quite a few of these competition sites don't let 1PW fill in phone numbers.

As I have Keyboard Maestro I've set a macro to fill in as much of the identity as 1PW will do, and then insert the phone number and a bit more necessary info.

Response to SJK message #6. Difficult to provide URLs because this problem generally occurs when ordering online. However, I can say that it has NEVER not occurred. :( I'm using Version 4.1.3 (413002). Although I have other browsers installed, I generally use Safari because old habits die hard. Thanks for persevering with this. It's not a serious flaw but it is kind of maddening. Or madding, if you like.

Hello. Safari and Chrome won't autofill identities or credit cards. It will fill logins and passwords. Any thoughts? 1pass 4.1.3. Mac 10.9.1 Macbook Air

Can you post any specific sites/URLs where you're having 1Password filling issues with Identity and Credit Card items so we can test them here? Is it all fields or just certain ones that aren't being filled? And which version of the 1Password extension are you using in Safari and Chrome? Thanks in advance for that information!

Thank you for responding so quickly. I really like that about your company.
I think I fixed it. I clicked on edit in identities & credit cards and found all the info got moved around. Maybe in an update?
So I moved all the info to the correct lines and it now autofills identities. I haven't check the CCs yet, but I bet they are fixed also.

I'm glad you discovered the source of your problem with filling from Identity and Credit Card items. Were they originally created in 1Password 3 (or earlier) and possibly got disordered when you upgraded to 1Password 4? Or do you think they got that way sometime later after a 1Password 4 update, or know it because they did work at some point with 1P4?

Whatever you can think of that might help isolate this possible bug is appreciated. Thanks!

Our developers are still working on improving 1Password's phone-number filling capabilities. Could you provide a bit more information about your situation here?

• What version of 1Password are you currently using? (Please include the version number you can find in 1Password > About 1Password.)
• What browser are you using?
• What version of the extension do you have installed? (This can be found in the browser's extension menu)
• Which sites are you having difficulty with? (Having information on which sites are misbehaving will allow our filling gurus to do some testing and hopefully help 1Password fill better on these sites.)

Thanks for letting us know that the 4.3 update hasn't fixed phone number field filling on those pages. It's also still failing with the 4.2.0.BETA-16 extension. I've updated notes in our issue tracker about this.

As a web development co., we use 1P a lot to test our designs. The ability to fill in and use different identities is a great time saver. The phone entry problem is a killer for us. We have control over the input name as well as the field name in 1P and I'm unable to make it work.
Here's the most basic of forms, the phone input name is 'phone'. We test on Macs (Safari 6.1.3, Chrome 34.0.1847.116 Firefox 27.0.1) with 1P 4.2.2 (422001) on OS X 10.8.5 and 10.9. It seems this should be a simple problem to resolve.

I've also noticed that my phone number is not being entered. Hopefully this issue will be resolved without too many more headaches.
