Win7 Firefox 25.0.1 extension will not install.
I have drop box in, sync with android and iPad working, on PC the extension will not install. Says I need the app (already running and freshly installed). Looks for the App, says I need to update it. Then it takes me right back to the extension install page that I just used to install.

How and where did you install our extension? You'll need to do this from the Preferences window:
File > Preferences (Ctrl+P) > Browsers

I got it! Thanks so much. It really helped that I read all the instructions about Chrome in the window that pops up. It was a must that I disable the "Sync with extensions" in Chrome even though I was installing the Firefox extension. I guess that is what instructions are for!

Almost thought I spoke too soon, I still had to read instructions and remove the 1password extension that I put in via Firefox and then go back and install it from the 1Password program the way you suggested. Now I really am in business.
