Now that I have 1Password4(mac), i need to solve my 2yr old dropbox sync problem

My iPhone has not received any 1password keychain updates in about 2 years. I don't want to buy the new 1Password for the iPhone until I know I can sync it successfully with my mac. On my iPhone when i click on the 1Password.html i get an error 'Problem loading 1 Password data file'. I went to http://help.agilebits.com/1Password3/1passwordanywhere_troubleshooting.html It says to click on data files to see if you have access, which I do. I haven't renamed the file.

I have no idea where to go from here.

    I'm sorry you're having a 2-year-old problem with 1Password keychain access on your iPhone. We're long overdue to help you get that resolved! :)

    It sounds like you might be using our older, now retired, 1Password 3 for iOS on your iPhone. Dropbox changed their API support and that version of 1Password for iOS can no longer sync using Dropbox. For more information about it please refer to our blog post.

    1Password 4 for iOS will make it possible to set up Dropbox syncing between it and your Mac (with 1Password 4 or 1Password 3). Which version of 1Password are you currently running on your Mac?

    If you log in on the Dropbox site with Safari on your iPhone are you able to open your 1Password keychain using 1PasswordAnywhere?

    Please let me know if you'd like more help with this of anything else.

    Hi, I can log into 1PasswordAnywhere via safari on my iPhone. I can see that this contains updated information. Is it just a matter of me buying the new 1Password app for the iPad/iPhone and it will magically work?

    Thanks for confirming you're able to access your 1Password data through 1PasswordAnywhere on Dropbox. It'll be easy setting up 1P4 on iOS to sync with with it. :)

    Which version of iOS are you running on your iPad/iPhone?

    It sounds like you already have Dropbox syncing configured with 1P4 on your Mac: Sync with Dropbox

    Is the 1Password keychain it syncs with already in Dropbox/1Password/1Password.agilekeychain (preferred) or some other location?
