Infinitely "connecting" Firefox 28.0 with 1Password extension 3.9.20
OS 10.9.1 (Mavericks)
I just recently clean installed Mavericks and then installed Firefox and the 1PW extension. The extension in FF is not usable. After I type my password into the drop down box it just says "Connecting: ddd", where the "ddd" is the number of seconds (I assume that it's been trying).
1Password and 1Password Mini are working fine. I sync via Dropbox.
I uninstalled Firefox (with App Cleaner to get it all), and then reinstalled and reinstalled 1PW extension. Same thing.
Safari is still my default browser in System Preferences.

Hi @user799,
I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with the Firefox extension right now. I'd like to take a closer look at your system to see just what's going on here. Using your browser please download a small standalone tool from us that will run a networked copy of our diagnostics tool.
http://i.agilebits.com/kyle/tools/1Password_diagnostics.zip
After the download is complete, use Finder to locate it. It should be in your downloads folder. If the file ends in .zip then your browser has not already unzipped it. Please double click it to expand it.
The expanded file will have a "Unix Executable File" named 1Password_diagnostics. Double-clicking this will cause a Terminal window to open and download some files it needs. (Note: If you use OS X Lion or Mountain Lion, you may need to right click the file, choose Open, and click Open on the dialog).
Once it completes it should open a window in your browser with the results. Please click File->Save As to save this file to your computer. Please save it as "Page Source" or "HTML" if there are options for this.
If you do not get a report created, please copy and paste the output from the Terminal window so we can take a look at the errors that were created. This will help us figure out where the problem is in creating the diagnostics report. Then attach the entire file to an email to us: support+forum@ agilebits .com
Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.
Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks in advance!

I am getting the message "1Password_diagnostics can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer". My OS is Mavericks 10.9.1.

OK, I did what you said to do if my OS were Lion or ML, and was able to run the file. (You might want to fix your boiler plate text so dummies like I am can understand :)

Maybe I'm supposed to have a 1Password 4.x extension since I'm running 1P version 4? I see http://learn.agilebits.com/1Password4/Mac/en/KB/v3-extensions.html that there is a 4.0.0.b22 (beta?) extension. Where to download? Is there no stable v. 4 Firefox extension?

Hi @user799,
My apologies here! Since you posted in the 1Password 3 forums, I thought you were using 1Password 3.
Yes. You will need the version 4 extension if you are using 1Password 4. Please uninstall the version 3 extensions: http://learn.agilebits.com/1Password4/Mac/en/KB/v3-extensions.html and get the shiny new version 4 extension from here: https://agilebits.com/browsers/index.html.
I hope this helps, but if you have any further questions, we're here for you!
