1Password extension not working

Hello, I have two computers with 1password, and on one device (a new computer I am trying to set up) I am experiencing frustrating issues with google chrome 1password extension (top right hand corner key). There is a red exclamation mark on the key, and when I enter my master password, it doesnt open my 'vault'. Can some one please help me to resolve this issue. Thank you.

There is a red exclamation mark on the key

Something is blocking the 1Password extension and preventing it from communicating with the 1Password helper. Probably some anti-virus "solution".
