1Password issue with injection to hidden fields

I have a little problem with 1Password. On of our customers is using your software to fill out forms on our web app.

We are using knockout.js, 1Password is injecting data to one of our hidden fields used by knockout.js, this field is hidden on purpose because it’s data is computed. By injecting directly to this field 1Password is overwriting knockout JS binding. Injection is done based on the field name.

Is this a normal behavior that 1Password is injecting data to hidden fields ? How can we hide a field so that 1Password doesn't inject data into it ?

  • Hi Michal,

Thank you for taking the time to discuss this issue with us.

In older versions of 1Password, we were much more aggressive with filling hidden fields. Because of compatibility issues with frameworks like knockout.js, we made changes in recent versions to mostly avoid hidden fields entirely. It could be a simple matter of asking this customer to upgrade to the latest version.

With that said, I would feel much more comfortable giving this recommendation after testing this ourselves. Is it possible to share the login page URL with us so we can try?

    Thanks!
