Can I completely uninstall 1Password v3 after I install 1Password v4?

I installed 1Password 4. Is it safe to completely uninstall v3? When I click on "uninstall 1Password3" I get a message that says "Are you sure you want to completely remove 1Password and all of its components?"

I got nervous and I am wondering if this will mess anything up.

    Hi @Farmas,

Yes, it is safe to remove 1Password 1.x for Windows from the Control Panel. It will not affect your 1Password data.

1Password 4 will actually reinstall any missing components the next time you open it. So, here's how it'd go:

    1. Uninstall 1Password 1.x for Windows from the Control Panel
    2. Reboot your PC
    3. Open the main 1Password 4 program and it'll say the 1Password Helper is missing, let it fix it.

After that, you should be all set.

You might additionally need to use the "Restart 1Password Helper" option in the main app's Help menu.
