Suggestion Multiple Keychains — Simultaneously

This very likely has been suggested before, sorry if this is a repeat.

I propose that 1Password allow multiple keychains to be maintained at once, in a transparent fashion. At login time 1P would treat all keychains as if there were one.

One keychain would be designated as "the default" and as such adding new credentials would be just as simple as now.

In addition, there would be a way to have an entry:

  • be moved from one keychain to another
  • shared between two (or more) keychains

Of course the purpose of this feature is to allow for keychains to be synced individually with a variety of targets. For example:

  • a forum/social networking keychain synced everywhere: dropbox, iphone, ipad
  • a keychain w/ my wallet information will probably go to the cloud but not my iphone or ipad
  • a keychain w/ my bank/health logins will stay on my local computer to never be synced to the cloud, but it will be shared w/ my spouse

Would be nice to have a way to enforce keychain policies as a way of making sure the user doesnt mistakenly push a keychain out to the cloud.

I'm sure you can easily come up with a variety of scenarios as well.
