Deleting entries on Windows doesn't delete them on Mac/iOS

This doesn't seem to be a problem occurring on Mac/iOS, as deletions on those systems are replicated to Windows, however;
Deleting items on Windows does NOT remove them from Apple devices.
When I delete the items on Windows, I see the notification that a dropbox file was updated on the Mac, but nothing is removed from the entry list. Forcibly syncing the database (on iOS, for example) does not result in the item being deleted. Emptying the trash does not cause the item to be removed.
If I add an entry from Windows, it does appear on the other devices quickly.
So, something about the delete process is different on Windows... perhaps a flag isn't getting set properly somewhere to indicate the removed item?
