I've never been asked to activate anything before so that is a new behavior. I am currently on Chrome 38.2125.104 and 1Password Extension 4.2.5.2.

External Protocol Request.

Google Chrome needs to launch an external application onepassword-extension: links. The link requested is onepassword4-extension://activate/Chrome

The following application will be launched if you accept this request:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\1Password4\Agile1pAgent.exe" "//activate /Chrome"

If you did not initiate this request, it may represent an attempted attack on your system. Unless you took an explicit action to initiate this request, you should press Do Nothing.

[ ] Remember my choicce of all links of this type.

[Launch Application] [Do Nothing]

I noticed a change from a 1P key icon to a keyhole icon consistent with 1Password 4.

Please advise, thanks.

I tried to click on Launch Application but it failed. The extension worked ,regardless.

    You see this when...

    1. You click on the 1Password button in Chrome, and
    2. The 1Password helper (aka Agile1pAgent.exe) isn't running

Here's how to solve this problem:

    1. Start 1Password
    2. Click on: Help > Restart 1Password Helper
