1PW 3 Helper in Chrome Not Starting After 1PW 4 Removal

in 1Password 4 for Windows

I installed 1Password 4 but decided that version 3 was doing fine for me. I uninstalled version 4, but now the helper in Chrome never starts right. It always has a red exclamation point. I've uninstalled and re-installed the helper, but no luck. I can get the helper to work correctly by "restarting the helper" in the 1Password application menu, but otherwise it doesn't start correctly. Should a do a complete uninstall and re-install of 1Password? Tnx.

    This should fix the problem for you:

    Help > Restart 1Password Helper

    If this doesn't fix the problem for you, then please re-install 1Password. You can download the old version here: https://agilebits.com/downloads (please scroll down to the "Legacy" section).

    Ignore the "XP and Vista" text on that legacy download. I've asked the website team to remove that, as 1Password 1 for Windows should run just fine on Windows 7 and 8.
