Need license key - though got the app for free on iOS

Hi!

I got the app free on iOS. I'm trying to use it in conjunction with Windows, but now PC 1Password started asking for a license key.
Is this not automatically "achieved" by buying/getting the iOS app for free, as there are no limitations on the app itself?

1Password is licensed per platform. The Windows app has a trial period but after that it is not free.

I can see how the description in the iTunes App Store might be confusing, @SweKiwi‌, but we don't mean it to be.

Please see the license policy page for details.

Thank you for your clarification. Too bad. The app for windows is way overpriced, so I removed it from the PC.
The software has promise, but for a student like me I'd rather memorise my passwords then spend $50, which is a lot of money for what it does.

Then again, thank you for your clarification.

Be sure to check the prices in our student store, too: https://agilebits.com/store/educational

Thanks for your interest in 1Password!

    Alright, thanks.
How does one validate that one is a student? I am from Sweden so can I send a certification of some sort via e-mail?

Here's some relevant text from that "educational" section of our online store, linked above:

Please use your current university email address to purchase...

See that site for full details.
