Adding Licenses

It sounds as though you have a licence key for 1P 3 and are trying to licence 1P4 or 1P5 (both of which require a licence file). It would help us to help you if you'd tell us:
- the last version of 1P that you bought (the upgrade from 1P3 to 1P4 was paid, not free);
- the version of 1P you are trying to licence now.
In essence, if you never paid to upgrade from 1P3 you can go to this page, give the email address you used when you bought 1P3 and find out how much it will cost to upgrade from the AgileBits store.
Just be aware of one important thing. If you buy from the AgileBits store the latest version of 1P will not support iCloud sync (to sync your 1P data between your Mac and any iOS device you own). If you're ever likely to need to use iCloud to sync your 1P data you'll need to buy the Mac App Store version of 1P. Both versions support sync of 1P data by either Dropbox or local wifi.

Hi @dhays,
I took a quick look in our back office records using the email address attached to your forum account, and I was able to locate a license for 1Password 3 for Mac. I don't see an upgrade to 1Password 4 on that account. If you think you purchased the upgrade from a different account, please let me know and I'd be happy to help track down your license file.
If you have any further questions, please let me know - we're here to help!

Great, thanks guys. I was not aware the upgrade to 4 was paid. Appreciate the responses.

Is there a discounted upgrade to 4 for purchasers of 3? If so, where and how can I access that option? Thanks!

@dhays - There is a discount to update for previous licensees of 1Password, if you bought you license from AgleBits, not from the Mac App Store. If that applies to you, go to the AgileBits store, here, and click the button for upgrade pricing under version 5. Fill in the requested information to see your price.
Don't worry that you'll be buying version 5 if you really actually want version 4. The license for both versions is identical, and the upgrade to version 5 is free for version 4 licensees.
If you bought your license from Apple instead, you'll have to pay the full Mac App Store price. Apple doesn't provide developers anyway to offer discounted upgrade pricing.
