iCloud sync via your web store version of 1Password
I've read a number of the other posts on this subject and I find this 'policy' totally unacceptable. I also downloaded from your website and was not aware of the need to only use the app store version to be able to use iCloud. When I purchased this I did not see any NOTICE prior to purchase that if I intended to use iCloud to sync then I should download only from the app store. Don't you think this would have been a wise policy decision so that I didn't waste my money? I only discovered this recently when I went to change a password on my iPhone and found that, when accessing from my Mac, the new password did not sync.
So now I'm screwed, right? Not quite the way to treat a customer who has been with you from the very beginning! I would like you to check when I made my purchase and determine whether I can get a refund. I have 1Password on my iPhone and iPad and need to have these sync. There has to be a way to make this right.
Let's hear from you ASAP.

To overcome the problem with not being able to sync my Mac to iCloud since I have your website version 5, is it possible to have my iPhone/iPad sync to iCloud and then have my Mac version sync to them via WiFi?

First, I don't work for AgileBits so what follows is not comments on behalf of AgileBits. However, you are being unreasonable and I want to tell you why, before answering your question.
I find this 'policy' totally unacceptable
If you refer to the policy of Apple allowing iCloud use only by apps which are in the App Store that's clearly something you need to speak to Apple about. Nobody else can do anything about it.
When I purchased this I did not see any NOTICE prior to purchase that if I intended to use iCloud to sync then I should download only from the app store.
I don't doubt you. Nevertheless, it's clear on the website from which you would have downloaded 1P5. This is what you would have seen:
If you didn't see that perhaps you'd share the link from which you did download.
So now I'm screwed, right?
If you bought 1P5 from the AgileBits store within the past 30 days AgileBits will refund your money to enable you to buy from the Mac App Store.

Hi @rgeddeis
I'm assuming you've read Dave Teare's announcement on this subject, iCloud Changes in the Website Version of 1Password 5.
Prior to Yosemite we didn't know a MAS purchase would be required. As Dave has stated, there were doubts which in hindsight he wishes he had heeded but it wasn't a definite requirement under the old iCloud and Mavericks.
As per your request I shall list your purchase dates but I will do so in a forum message to yourself for privacy reasons.
