inconsistant filling of userid and password

I am running 1Password5 on Mavericks and am getting inconsistant form filling behavior on several sites. Many times the userid will be filled in but not the password or visa versa, please advise.

Could you give the support folks a couple of URLs that don't behave as you expect? I don't think they will be able to help without knowing where to look to see what might be going on.

    Hi @oregonduckman‌

As Hawkmoth says, it would be really helpful to have a bit more detail here. We'd love to try and re-create the issue on our end so that we can improve 1Password's behaviour for you. Here are some details that could be helpful:

    • If you're running OS X 10.9 (Mavericks), you shouldn't really be on 1Password 5, as it is Yosemite-specific. Could you please check the version number of 1Password (which can be found in the 1Password > About 1Password menu).
    • Which browser are you using? (Please include the version number here as well).
    • Which version of the 1Password extension do you have installed? This version number can usually be found in the browser's Preferences > Extensions tab.

Also, the URLs will be handy!

I'm having a similar problem. 1Pass fills in my email address (username) but not the password. Also, the 1Pass 'web form details' for this login look a bit odd compared to others.

Mac OS X Yosemite ver. 10.10.1
    Safari Ver. 8.0.2 (10600.2.5)
    1Password extension ver. 4.2.5
    1Password5 ver. 5.0.2 (502007)

    Hi @gstraitz‌

That site is doing something a little differently. I found the username was stored in the web form details but not above and 1Password couldn't read the password field at all. It isn't just 1Password though, I have a piece of javascript that will return password fields on a page and it isn't picking up the password either (like it isn't there at all). What I did find was if I edited the item and added the the username and password to the standard fields (not the web form details section) that it seemed to work. As I don't have an account there it would be great if you could let us know if that is all you need to get it working.

    littlebobbytables,

I added the the username and password to the standard fields and that helped a little. It would fill in those fields on the website but when I clicked Login the site login screen would refresh with just the username filled in and the password blank. I went back and edited the item again and changed 2 things in the web form details and now it is working. If you would like to contact me directly I can send you before and after screen grabs of the item and web form details. Thanks

    Hi @gstraitz‌

I'm glad a bit of trial and error managed to create a working Login and yes, I'd love to see what you had to do to get it working. Feel free to message me here on the forums but just double check any images you send to make sure any details you don't want me to see are removed
