Sync Primary Vault on Two Mac User Accounts Over Wifi? Over File Link?

Is there an efficient way to keep one Primary Vault, desired to be used by two different User Accounts on Mac OS?
Synched over WiFi?

Alternatively, perhaps a mechanism for the second Mac User to access the Primary Vault on the first Mac User's account by directing the 1Password App on the second Mac User to open the Primary Vault on the first users account? Perhaps using a symbotic link?

Thank you

    Hi @MGOBLUE‌

Apologies for the delay in responding. Can I ask, are you wishing to avoid cloud services such as Dropbox? In terms of easiness it's the least convoluted way forward but if you wish there is a way to use Folder Sync as long as we alter the permissions on the Shared user folder. In it's current state it doesn't work as you might expect it. Let us know and we can work out a set of steps that will work for you.

I have 2 accounts on 1 macbookPro - 1 for personal 1 for business. A lot of the passwords are common between the 2 accounts. Could I use Dropbox folder share on 1 account with the database in it, and share to the 2nd user so that there is only 1 shared database. Or is there a better way?
    Thanks

    Hi @TMeighan,

Are you using the same Dropbox account in both Mac user accounts on your Mac? If so, you don't need to worry about Dropbox folder sharing, because 1Password will have access to the same Dropbox data from each Mac user.

On the other hand, if each Mac user is signed into a different Dropbox account, then you can share your 1Password vault(s) between each Mac user via Dropbox folder sharing. We have steps to set that up in this knowledgebase article.

Could I use Dropbox folder share on 1 account with the database in it, and share to the 2nd user so that there is only 1 shared database.

It sounds like one Mac user has a 1Password vault with your personal data, and the other Mac user has a 1Password vault with your business data? If so, to make sure I understand, do you want to merge both of those vaults together so both Mac users have a single 1Password vault containing both your personal and business data? Or do you still want to keep personal and business data in separate vaults, but have access to both vaults from both Mac users?

Once we know exactly how you want to get things set up, we can give you some more specific steps to do that if you'd like. Thanks!
