Looking for password helper

I have been using 1Password for years
Hi, why is this suddenly happening. Without rhyme or reason 1/2 of the time I click on the 1 password icon from Firefox (v35.0.1) EITHER 1 new window opens up OR Firefox starts rapidly opening tabs, presumably with each of my entries in 1Password. Then at other times, 1 password works flawlessly. I do have the 4.2.5 1passpword add on installed
