Linkage between 1Password application and the browser extension?

Hello,

I have been using 1P mainly in an iOS environment for awhile and yesterday updated 1P and the browser extensions on my Windows 8 laptop. Noticed that after unlocking 1P, I have to unlock the browser extension as well - I thought that it was possible to have the browser extension unlocked also when the application itself is unlocked. Am I remembering incorrectly? Thanks.

That should not be the case if Universal Unlock is ON.
