Hi.

I got 2 items with same name in iCloud. Which one is in used? or both?

    Hi @scegg,

Good question! Only one of those is actually in use, and the reason why you're seeing 2 of those entries for 1Password has to do with the transition from the old iCloud sync to the new CloudKit-based sync system we started using in 1Password 5. We have more information about that in this knowledgebase article.

The extra one won't cause any problems, and there's no easy way to tell which one is active, so we normally recommend against deleting it. However, if you really want to get rid of the extra entry, you can find steps to do that in the article from the above link.

I hope that helps. If you have more questions, we'll be happy to answer them! :)

Thanks for your reply. I think if only one is in use, I can try to add a temp item with a huge image to check the size changing, and delete the other one after that. lol. Of course, backup is a must before.

    Hi @scegg,

Yes, I think your idea should work - the 1Password entry in iCloud that doesn't change size would logically be the one that is no longer used. But as you said, be sure to make a current backup before trying that, as a precaution. And remember that you can also just follow the steps from the link in my previous message (although I think your idea should be fine). Let us know how it works out for you, and if you have more questions. Thanks!

Sorry for this late reply. My way (adding a huge image) works great.

That's awesome, @scegg. Thanks for sharing that idea, testing it, and letting us know the result. :)
