Can't get rid of floating window sometimes

Sometimes after I click on the 1P button in my Chrome toolbar it stays open, I can't get rid of it (click elsewhere, press Esc, etc.); is this is a bug or is there some way of closing it (no little 'x' button in corner afaik).

Do you mean the full extension menu or the contents of an item's Notes field?
