Is there any preference setting for 1Password to create custom categories?

I want to be able to save SQL Details / FTP / Virtual Servers in their own category not just under "Servers"...

Does anyone have any good recommendations?

    Hi @NML,

    Sorry, it isn't possible at the moment. I certainly will add your vote for such a feature to the existing request that we have.

    All I could suggest at the moment is that maybe tags would be an acceptable workaround. It won't stop the items appearing in the Server category but the tags might help with the organisation?

    It is a popular request and we know it it. The issue is partly that the categories are hardcoded and so it isn't a simple tweak to the codebase. Sorry it wasn't a better solution.

    Hi @NML,

    This is still an open issue, but our developers are hoping to add this feature to a future release of 1Password. At this time, I'm sorry but we just don't have an estimate of when the next major release may come out. Hopefully it will be worth the wait.

    In the meantime, have you tried using folders or tags to organize these items separately? How has it worked out for you?
