1Password Mac + Windows Bundle v3 upgrade to 5

So my family has the 1Password Mac + Windows Family Bundle for version 3. If I upgrade that license to ver 5. Does the old license for v 3 to stop working? I want to use Version 5 but the rest of the family is still on 3 and do not want to upgrade.

Thanks so much for your support of 1Password! Your version 3 licenses will continue to work just fine after you update to 1Password 5. When you do, make sure that you are doing so through our upgrade page so that you get your discount!
