Sync ??

I have installed 1Password and Dropbox on - work pc, home laptop and IOS devices. It seemed to be working ok on the work pc, I could see the logins that had been input on my IOS and home laptop. However, I added some new logins into the vault on my work pc and they can not be seen on my home Laptop or IOS devices. I would like to understand how this syncing works before I purchase a Windows licence. I guess I must be dumb but the info on syncing on the help section seems unclear to me, sorry guys.
