Delta - last name field

Delta requires username, password and lastname in order to login. I can't get 1password to remember the lastname. I have even tried doing this manually.
I enter the information in the three fields manually (and do not hit submit on the page)
Tell 1password to save the new page (I have tried the option of updating existing as well).

But it won't save the lastname field. And I don't see a way to manually enter information in the web form.

Any help would be appreciated it.

    Hi @lusker,

Can you supply the URL please, we'll see if we can get to behave

You have to type in the username and password fields before the last name field will appear. tnx

    Hi @lusker,

Thank you for supplying the URL. I can confirm that 1Password can't handle that page, at least with the latest stable releases. Our 1Password beta and extension beta use a new filling logic that we're working on and it has more luck. Saying that, I still have to set the Login item to Never submit and use the fill command twice as the box remains hidden until the email address is supplied. Of course I'm guessing using the keyboard shortcut ⌘\ twice is still an improvement over not working. I don't know when the new filling logic will be released so for the moment so this leaves you with two options.

    1. You could try out our beta version of 1Password 5 and the 1Password browser extension. You have to be running both to gain the improvements. You will need to set the freshly created Login item's submit to Never submit and then fill twice to achieve the desired goal. I don't see us getting past that as it is hiding the field the first time we fill.
    2. The other option is to use your current Login item with the submit option set to Never submit. Fill the email and password and then fill using your Identity item (assuming you have one). As the hidden field is asking for your surname the Identity item can fill that without touching the other fields.

I hope one of those suggestions is a reasonable workaround for now.

Is this the same case for American Airlines as well which needs username, password and last name? Given 1password is now at v5 and not beta is there functionality to now deal with the use case?

@brevell - I solved this issue for American Airlines by saving the login manually. That has also worked for others here in the forum. Give that a try. Instructions can be found here.

Thanks @hawkmoth . I had a look at the URL above that you referred to however it didn't resolve my issue unfortunately. 1Password captures the username and password but doesn't capture the last name which is the third requirement to log in. Any ideas why it doesn't work?

@brevell - I don't know why it wouldn't work for you, if it worked for me. You did fill in all the fields, then, before submitting anything, used the option under the grear icon to save a login? Just checking to be sure. It's really important to save the login before you click the button to submit your credentials.

Also, I am logging in from the main A,eri an Airlines web page at aa.com.

I just checked again from my iPad, and it's filling all three fields for me.

    Hi @brevell,

I'm sorry you're having some difficulty with your Login item for that site! Like hawkmoth, I also tried the steps to manually save a new Login for that site and 1Password is able to fill all three fields for me, too. So, I think we must be doing something differently. Can you confirm the URL you're using to sign into your American Airlines account? I went to www.aa.com which redirected me to www.aa.com/homePage.do. The "Log In" form I used is right there on that page. Is that where you're signing in, or are you using a different URL?

Hi @Drew_AG. Yes, I'm also using the www.aa.com/homePage.do site to log in and I've tried it a couple of times but it doesn't seem to capture the Last name component. I tried capturing via Safari and via Firefox and both options come out with the same result. Is there any configuration setting I need to enable/disable? I'm a little baffled given how easy it seems from what you and @hawkmoth outlined.

Another update. I tried something on my other Mac VM which is running 10.9 OSX and 4.4.1 of 1Password. It actually did capture the last name. For some reason it isn't doing it on my host Mac which is on the latest version of OSX and 1Password. Strange?

    Hi @brevell,

You've mentioned a few times that 1Password doesn't capture the last name field of that form. Have you actually tried using your new Login item to fill the form on that site, or have you only been looking at the information captured in the new Login item? The reason I ask is because when you look at a Login item in 1Password, it will only ever show 2 fields at the top - username and password. But the other fields are also saved, and you can see them by clicking the "show web form details" button in the Login item.

In the test Login item I created, there are a lot of web form details saved for that site, but one is called "lastName" and contains the last name I entered in that form. 1Password should use that to fill your last name on that site.

So basically, just go to aa.com and choose the new Login from the 1Password extension (or use the ⌘\ keyboard shortcut) and all three of those fields should be filled in. Please let us know how it goes!

Thanks for the follow-up @Drew_Ag. I had another test at it and it now works. I have no idea why this didn't work to begin with but now it is. Very strange? Appreciated the help you provided.

Glad to hear it's working @brevell

It would probably be quite hard to say now why it didn't work before without being able to dissect a non-working version. We'll just have to settle with the fact that it now behaves
