Extension does not work in Safari or Chrome

Hi, I'm running Mavericks 10.9.5, have 1password 4.4.2, and am syncing through dropbox. I've installed the extension in both Safari and Chrome, but when I click on the icon nothing comes up. I've tried restarting the browsers and 1 password, and nothing seems to work. I've run a diagnostic, but I'm not sure where to send it. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi @dt298,

    Do you have 1Password mini running? It does need to be enabled for the browser extension to work. The easiest way to test is either if you have the 1Password icon in your menu bar and it opens the menu if you click on it or the default keyboard shortcut is ⌥⌘\ which should open the 1Password mini menu. If it isn't running you might want to check in 1Password's preferences. In the General tab is the first box for Always keep 1Password mini running ticked?

    That would be the prime suspect, does that apply to your situation at all?
