After adding new item, Favorites no longer show...

I recently added a new login to Google. Now it is the only one showing when I first click the browser 1Password (in both Safari and Firefox); I have to click "Show More" to see my favorites. Before the new login was added, my five favorites would show immediately, with the extra logins under "Show More."

All of the other website Favorites logins seem to be working (though I haven't added new items to anything else recently). I've uninstalled the browser plugin, quit/restarted the 1Password Mini, and logged out/logged in and restarted by MacBook Pro.

Any suggestions?

I'm running Mac OS X 10.10.2, Safari 8.0.3, 1Password 5.1, on a 15-inch MacBook Pro late 2013.

  • Hi @wlampkin,

If you have a login item that exactly matches the current domain, it will be displayed first, and you will have to click "show more" to view other non-exact items. For example, if you're on subdomain.example.com, and you have a login saved for example.com and subdomain.example.com, the login for subdomain.example.com will be displayed first.

If Lenient URL matching (under Preferences > Browser) is enabled, subdomains will be ignored, and 1Password will treat all logins for the domain and its subdomains the same.

So this should be fixed by ensuring all your Google login items use the correct website (and correct subdomain) or by enabling Lenient URL matching.

Let us know if that helps! :)

Bingo! I checked the login and you are exactly right. The one thing I didn't think of! Everything is working fine now. Thank you!

  • You're welcome! Glad to hear that helped. :)
