Hi @meridius,
Can you tell us which browser you're using along with the 1Password version? I created a new Login for the site in Chrome and after that, it did fill in the data for me.
Please try manually saving a new Login for the site with this guide: https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-windows-kb/4/en/topic/save-login-manually-win
Does that work for you? If not, there's another trick we can try.

Hi @meridius,
What about their dedicated Login page here: https://secure.ubi.com/login/Login.aspx
Can you try that? If it works, then I'd suggest editing your Login for UBI to use that URL and that should work next time.

yep that worked but why not send you to that site in the first place and why does 1password not work with the original login page ?
thanks

@meridius: Unfortunately, unlike men, not all websites are created equal. 1Password doesn't have any way of knowing about other login pages, just the one you have saved in the login item. And if the login form has different field names than the one you used when you first saved the login item in 1Password, 1Password will be trying to fill one form based on the information saved from the other. Confusing, I know. Imagine how 1Password feels! ;)

why does 1password not work with the original login page ?
The problem is that the panel that contains the login form is not actually part of the main page. It is an iframe pointing to https://uplayconnect.ubi.com. 1Password will not fill iframes. I think there's a browser restriction going on there, but it's also a security risk since hidden iframes on a malicious site can be used to do drive by credential raids on password management systems.

@meridius: RichardPayne is correct. It sounds like you're using Internet Explorer, which does restrict this behaviour (strangely, I thought I remembered it popping up an error when this happens).
In fact, if you visit https://uplay.ubi.com/#!/en-GB/ in Chrome it will fill, as it does this differently than IE. I hope this helps! :)
