Installing license - trial period still has 11 days

Hi there

I have a license key code from a friend who bought three a couple of years back.
Could someone point me towards some info on how to install this license key?

As far as I can see there is no attachment or clickable file associated with the email Silvia forwarded to me. And my current impression is that this is the element required for installing the license on the Mac version of the app, and it is not possible to copy the text into a form as I have done with previous products.

Is this correct?
What should I do?

I'm not sure that someone can simply send you a license that you didn't purchase, but someone from AgileBits will need to weigh in on ethics of that. In the meantime, have you read the user guide about installing the app? Start here.

Sorry, I have a little bad news for you.

Licenses can not be transfered or re-sold.

That's from our AgileBits Software Licences page. It also sounds like your friend has passed you a licence key for 1Password 3. From 1Password 4 we moved to a licence file. Now the upgrade from v3 to v4 wasn't a free one, it was a paid upgrade so 1Password 3 customers wouldn't have a licence file unless they later purchased the upgrade.
