Extension icon not showing in Firefox toolbar?

Using Firefox 36.0.1 on an iMac running Yosemite 10.10.1. Downloaded 1Pass and set up successfully. Automatic login recording works great. Downloaded the Extension vers. 4.2.5. but it doesn't show in the Firefox toolbar. I can see the extension itself is installed when I check Add-ons in Firefox. Read older solutions in these forums, but they don't work. Tried everything I read about including disabling "Verify Browser Code Signature" and re-starting everything. Couldn't figure out how to drag the extension icon onto Firefox Customize as per one suggestion. H-m-m....

GREAT! I knew posting would solve this. I just see the icon now up at the very top. Tiny and gray. Sheesh.

    Hi @bikegrrl,

Well we're happy to hear you've located the icon and that the extension is working. Was it a case that you were looking for the older icon?

    Hi @mmitch,

I'm sorry you're having trouble finding the 1Password extension in Firefox! The first thing to check is that the extension is installed. In Firefox, go to Tools > Add-ons. If the extension isn't installed:

On the other hand, if the 1Password extension is listed there, make sure it's enabled. If it still doesn't appear in the toolbar, try these steps:

    • Go to View > Toolbars > Customize.
    • Drag the 1Password icon to Firefox’s toolbar.
    • Click Exit Customize to finish.

Does that help at all? Let us know how it goes and we'll take it from there. Thanks!

    Hi @Drew_AG,

Turns out my problem was actually an old version of Firefox. Once I updated to the latest version, 38.0.5 it works great. Previously, I was on v28.

    Thanks for a quick reply.

  • On behalf of Drew, you're welcome. I'm glad to hear it's working now. :)

Please let us know if you have any other questions!
