Syncing across Mac computers and IOS devices

My Mac computer is the Main 1Password computer and is running Version 3.8.22 and it syncs though Dropbox. My husbands computer used to mirror my data but no longer syncs with mine, his computer is running Version 5.1. His computer has a message saying TRIAL EXPIRED but when I click Add License, nothing happens. I bought a family pac license when I first purchased 1Password. How do I get his 1Password apps on his computer, iPhone and iPad to sync with mine?

    Hi @V_P,

    Thanks for contacting us with your licensing and syncing questions. We always love to hear when families want to use 1Password on all their devices.

    First I'll just mention that if you're able to run OS X 10.10 Yosemite on your computer, you can upgrade to 1Password 5 with your existing license. But in the meantime I'll address your question of getting 1Password registered on your husband's computer.

    I have resent your license to your email address on file. Open that email on your husband's computer and click the link that says, "View the complete installation steps." That link will take you to a page where you can download your 1Password 5 license file by clicking the blue button. Then it gives step-by-step instructions for how to apply the license file to your 1Password software. That should make the "Trial Expired" message go away and restore full functionality.

    I'll answer the syncing question as though you want to use the same vault on all devices, but if you want to use multiple vaults (such as one for you, one for him, and one that you share), the steps will be slightly different.

    Once the license is applied, make sure his Mac has Dropbox installed and logged into the same account where your vault is, and then follow these steps to set up sync.

    On the iPad and iPhone, make sure each device also has Dropbox installed and logged into the same account you want to sync with, and follow these steps to set up Dropbox sync with 1Password.
