On Chase's new computer validation page, 1Password replaced the validation code with username
on the chase.com new computer validation screen, unfortunately I do not have the URl, where it asks you to provide the validation code and the password 1p fills the password in the right place, but overrides the validation code with the user name. This is with the release version of the plugin. Have not tried this with beta.
Firefox 37, Win 7 sp1

Hi @mzel,
On the main Login page for Chase, did 1Password fill in your data properly?
It sounds like the issue is with the validation page. In this case, 1Password thought you wanted it to fill in the username/password on the page, which makes sense if the validation field is just a text field next to the password field.

yes, this is pretty much what is happening. The main page worked fine, but the validation page did not. Not every field next to the password should be treated as username.

Hi @mzel,
Not every field next to the password should be treated as username.
We agree with you but unfortunately, not every site follows the same standard on how to design the Login form. We've dealt with many sites where they don't bother telling us which field is the username and in fact, they'd say 'username' for the password field as well. Suppose Chase didn't change the field name for the first text field on both pages, it is difficult for 1Password to say that it is not the username on the second page when it is on the first page (we look at the field name, not the placeholder).
We'll keep working to try to accommodate the million or billion of uniquely designed sites and it is a very difficult process to ensure that when we work with a badly designed site that we don't reduce our accuracy on the known solid sites.
For situations like this, I'd suggest copying the password first from Helper to paste in rather than asking 1Password to fill.
