New to iPhone 1Password - Need some advice and help. Maybe some feature requests

I am a recent convert from Android OISafe. I have been entering several hundred entries into 1Password, and am having some frustrations that this forum might be able to soften.

I am a big fan of folders. I have folders for online stuff, travel, banks, business, and one for each family member to hold their credentials too. Here are my questions:

  • Is there a way to make folder view the default view on entry to the app? I want to see folders upon entry into program.

  • Is there a way to search for any credentials that are not in a folder? I want to find any entry that hasn't been assigned a folder.

  • Is there a way to see which folder the entry is assigned in the detail screen? I want to verify in the credentials that they are assigned the correct folder.

  • When entering a new credential, is there a way to enter notes and select a folder while creating the entry? i want to add notes and folder while creating, rather than saving, then reselecting them, editing them, then assigning the folder. Should be all in same initial entry.

  • Is there a way to delete a credential entry from the list view? I want to be able to swipe left/right or press/hold to delete rather than select the item to go to the detail screen, then scroll to bottom to delete.

Thanks!

  • Hi OMM ( @OldManMac ),

I'd be happy to help you with these questions. :)

Is there a way to make folder view the default view on entry to the app? I want to see folders upon entry into program.

There is not currently a way to change the default view. This is something that has been requested before and our developers are considering.

Is there a way to search for any credentials that are not in a folder? I want to find any entry that hasn't been assigned a folder.

Yes, you can do this from the Categories view: https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-ios/5/en/topic/categories-overview

Is there a way to see which folder the entry is assigned in the detail screen? I want to verify in the credentials that they are assigned the correct folder.

Unfortunately not, but thanks for the suggestion!

Not with the current login creation wizard. That is something we can look into for the future though. :)

Is there a way to delete a credential entry from the list view? I want to be able to swipe left/right or press/hold to delete rather than select the item to go to the detail screen, then scroll to bottom to delete.

As it stands right now you must enter the detail view, edit the item, and then scroll to the bottom for the delete button. This I imagine is somewhat intentional... We don't want to make it too easy to accidentally delete an item.

    Thanks!

Thanks Ben. I checked out the link you gave, but didn't see a way to show credentials that had not been assigned to any folders, or a list view of credentials and which folder they have been assigned. Just looking for a way to make sure all credentials have been put into proper folders.

    Thx

  • I see, I misunderstood. I thought you simply wanted to see all of your logins, regardless of whether they were in a folder or not. We don't currently have a way to see all logins that are not currently assigned a folder, but again that is something we can look for in the future.
